We strive to always do our best by our members, but occasionally mistakes can happen. If you have a complaint about an aspect of your membership or the service that we’ve offered you, drop us a line and tell us. We’ll do what we can to put things right.
If we can’t address your concern, the union has a complaints procedure.
Principal Executive Council (PEC)
The Principal Executive Council (PEC) is elected by the membership every two years, in the January before the union’s biennial conference. It is led by the president and two vice presidents. All PEC members are employed by businesses the union negotiates with and are directly elected by Accord members.
The PEC oversees negotiations between Accord and its principal employers. It’s also the union’s governing body.

Bank Workers Charity (BWC)
The Bank Workers Charity exist to support the health and wellbeing of the banking community. Existing and former bank employees can access the BWC's many services, support and information. It's free, confidential, and completely independent from your employer.

View resourceLifelong Learning Fund grant application
The Lifelong Learning Fund provides support to members who want to learn new skills, from flower arranging to a master’s degree – you can apply for a grant whatever you fancy doing on your self-development journey.
The fund will provide grants of up to 50% of the cost of courses and training materials, up to a maximum of £500.
Accord first launched a study bursary, called the Bill Wright Memorial Fund, as an enduring tribute to Accord’s first general secretary, Bill Wright. Bill was a dedicated trade unionist with a lifelong commitment to education and training and he believed passionately in self-development. Accord also commemorated Clive Webster's (Accord Deputy General Secretary), tireless union work by offering a scholarship to provide opportunities for several Accord members to return to degree level education.

Raise awareness in your workplace about reporting incidents of abuse from customers. Any Accord members who suffer abuse at the hands of angry customers should report it to management. If nothing gets done, contact the union.
