- Time: 11:00 - 11:45
- Location: Online
Event details
We don't think twice about taking a rest after vigorous physical activity, yet many of us are reluctant to take a break after an extended period of mental effort.
According to the science this could not be more wrong. Taking breaks is vital to high quality performance whatever sphere of activity you're engaged in.
This webinar from the Bank Workers Charity explores the frequency and lengths of breaks you should be taking to ensure high levels of wellbeing and productivity during your working day.
What will be covered in the session:
- What the science tells about taking breaks
- Our natural body rhythms
- The benefits of taking breaks
- The consequences of not taking breaks
- Putting it into practice
- What kind of breaks work best?
This event was hosted by the Bank Workers Charity through the Zoom platform. Accord is not responsible for the material.

Bank Workers Charity: Men's health

- Time: 11:00 - 12:00
- Location: Online
Every demographic has its own critical issues when it comes to healthcare. For men, two things stand out. The suicide rate is worryingly high, whilst prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK. The persistence of these health issues and others among men is aggravated by their reluctance to visit their GP, to seek help from a counsellor or to ask for support. This is a free webinar, open to all members.
