Carol Knowles elected President of Accord
The election for the role of Accord President closed on Tuesday, 19th March.

Carol Knowles from the Halifax in Bolton has been elected as the next President of Accord. She will take office on Friday 19th April 2024 and will continue in this role until the close of the union’s biennial conference in 2026.
Carol, who is the current longest serving member of Accord’s Principal Executive Council (PEC), said:
"I am very proud and honoured to have been elected as Accord’s new President for the next term, there will be many challenges ahead in the next two years and I hope , together with the Vice Presidents, the PEC and the staff at Accord, we can achieve the best outcomes for all our members.
