Motions published for Accord conference 2024
Conference takes place every two years and sets the union’s objectives for the following two-year period.
Arrangements are being finalised for the Conference in Glasgow next week and the delegates will all be making their final preparations.
But Conference sets Accord’s objectives for all members so we want you to get involved even if you not going to the event.
The motions that have been accepted by the Standing Orders Committee for debate at Conference are available online.
At this stage, the motions are the property of the workplaces in who’s name they have been submitted. The motions become Accord policy if they are carried by a majority of the delegates voting at Conference.
We’ve written to workplace reps asking them to check the motions over before they go forward to be included in the Conference agenda.
List of motions for Conference 2024Emergency motions
There’s also an opportunity for emergency motions to be submitted for debate at Conference but these can only be accepted if they relate to circumstances which did not exist, or information which was not available, before the closing date for motions (20 March 2024). Any emergency motions should be sent by email to [email protected] before 6pm on Thursday, 18th April.
If you have thoughts on any of the motions that you’d like to tell us about – so we can inform the delegates at Conference, please email [email protected].
