Accord’s Sue Johnson retires

On Thursday 30th June, Accord said goodbye to one if its officers, Sue Johnson.

Sue Johnson

Just short of her 13th anniversary with Accord, on Thursday 30th June we said goodbye to Regional Officer for the North West, Sue Johnson.

After leaving school, Sue began working for the Halifax where she met her husband, Paul. Over the years, she worked in various parts of the business before taking on the role of HR Business Partner. She left the bank to join the Accord team in August 2009.

Throughout her time with Accord, Sue was an excellent officer who performed to the highest standards and always demonstrated the kind of empathy with members that makes great union people stand out.

Accord’s General Secretary, Ged Nichols said:

"I was absolutely delighted in 2009 when we got the chance to have Sue Johnson working for Accord. She was a credit to herself, her family and her Accord family in the time she was with us and we’ll miss her. I’m sure that everybody who knows Sue will join me in wishing a her a long, happy and healthy retirement."

Union staff held a ‘virtual leaving do’ to mark Sue’s last day but we hope to see her in person before too long to give her a proper send-off.

Thanks for everything Sue. We miss you already.
