Accord is committed to ensuring everyone can participate in our events in an inclusive, respectful, and safe environment. 

Accord has zero tolerance for any type of bullying and harassment including:

  • offensive
  • intimidatory
  • disrespectful or
  • unacceptable behaviour

or comments will not be tolerated. 

This supports the commitment set out in Accord’s rules to promote equality for all and to eliminate all forms of harassment, including: 

  • sexual harassment
  • prejudice and
  • unfair discrimination

This policy applies to all aspects of communication at or in connection with an event, including postings on social media.

Virtual events: Joining instructions

Here’s what you’ll need to join our virtual events (Microsoft Teams):

  • A quiet and safe space to join from
  • A device with an active internet connection
  • A webcam and microphone
  • A set of speakers or a headset so you can hear what’s going on
  • Access to Microsoft Teams on a desktop/laptop/phone or tablet device
    • You can download this on desktop or a mobile device (Android/Apple iOS).
    • If you are unable to use any of these options, you can join Teams via the web, but some functions may not be available to you. To do this, simply click the option ‘join on the web’ when prompted after you’ve clicked the ‘join’ link

Attendees are encouraged to keep their cameras on throughout the event.

Dial-in facility

If you're unable to use Microsoft Teams, we may provide a telephone dial-in service. If this is available, details will be available on the calendar invite.

Event recordings

We record most events, and the recording will usually be available shortly after an event. We will list the recording on our website, and we usually issue an email to everyone registered as an attendee for the event, regardless of whether they attended or not.
