Event details

Recent years have seen a surge in mental health problems among children and young people. In 2021, one in six children and young people were identified as having a probable mental health condition. In fact, there has been an increase in the incidence of all common mental health conditions among this demographic. Regrettably, the NHS is struggling to meet the demand for treatment, and this is a major concern for parents.

In this webinar, the Bank Workers Charity will be exploring the common mental health problems that affect children and young people and consider some of the wider factors that can affect them psychologically, like uncertainty and the impact of social media. They'll also draw attention to the full range of resources available to help children, as well as identifying options for patents seeking guidance on how best to support their children.

Webinar overview:

  • Common mental health problems
  • The surge in mental health problems
  • Spotting the signs
  • The impact of social media
  • Our mental health support
  • Other sources of support

Bank Workers Charity: Men's health

  • Date: 22 July 2025
  • Time: 11:00 - 12:00
  • Location: Online

Every demographic has its own critical issues when it comes to healthcare. For men, two things stand out. The suicide rate is worryingly high, whilst prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK. The persistence of these health issues and others among men is aggravated by their reluctance to visit their GP, to seek help from a counsellor or to ask for support. This is a free webinar, open to all members.
