This allows us to welcome many more trade unionists to the event than we could usually fit into a conference centre and ensures we can still debate the trade union movement’s response to the pandemic and other important issues.

Facilitated by a professional author, this workshop is free, friendly, and fun, Expect chat, simple writing exercises and a creative break from the usual routine.
The Royal Literary Fund is a national organisation of professional writers. Its aims include employing writers to bring writing skills to wider audiences. They've been working with unions for over three years to establish writing projects in workplaces across the UK. Clare Shaw is a Bloodaxe poet who is working on her fourth collection of poetry; with a background in mental health, Clare is passionate about using poetry to support health and wellbeing.
Registered participants will get a Zoom link before the workshop starts. This workshop is part of Unionlearn’s Literacy Works Week (#literacyworks) which takes place 8-12 March.
