A round-up of news in TSB

CIO announces next phase of transformation journey

Today's announcement from the Chief Information Office will affect around 100 roles across platform teams, cloud and service delivery, and portfolio management and transformation. In addition, the bank will create around 140 new roles within the CIO.

Those impacted by this announcement will have one-to-one meetings with their line managers to discuss their options moving forward.

Accord has emphasised to TSB that we expect role reductions to be managed through redeployment, normal turnover, and voluntary redundancies, and that compulsory redundancies must be kept to a minimum. If you are affected, we can provide advice and support.

New branch operating model including Telephone Banking

There have been queries about the need for branch staff to provide more telephony support in the coming months.

We have discussed this with the business and have been informed that additional cover is needed during the peak holiday period and due to increased customer calls linked to the reduction in branch hours and closures scheduled for August and September.

The bank views this as part of the transition to the new hybrid model where branch and telephony work as one team. It believes that demand will stabilise once the planned branch closures are complete and new teams are in place.

Staff concerns should be referred to line managers, but Accord's team is also here to help as always.

Spotlight

Spotlight has recently celebrated its fourth birthday. We have received positive feedback about the programme and know that almost 80% of colleagues benefit from it. We encourage anyone who hasn't used their full allocation to consider doing so.

We continue to discuss reward issues with the business and would like to hear from you about what you think should be prioritised for further improvement.
