In light of the recent events that have deeply impacted our communities, we extend our support and solidarity to all affected. The disturbances in the UK, fuelled by misinformation and hatred, have led to violence and unrest, targeting Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities. Despite a mostly peaceful night last night, it is crucial that we remain vigilant and continue to support those affected by these distressing events.
We are grateful for the proactive measures taken by Lloyds Banking Group to support staff during this challenging time. Their commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all colleagues is commendable. Here are some of the support measures available:
Lloyds Banking Group's Support Measures
- Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) - HealthHero Assist: Available 24/7, 365 days a year, via Freephone at 0800 9700 100 or online from work or home, providing comprehensive wellbeing support.
- Wellbeing Support Services: Accessible through the Safety, Health & Wellbeing Hub, offering various resources to aid your mental and physical health.
- Security Guidance: Updated guidance on personal safety measures, ensuring you feel secure both at work and in your personal life.
- Alternative Working Arrangements: If you feel unsafe, you are encouraged to speak with your line manager to arrange for alternative working conditions, including working from home.
- Transportation Safety: If public transport concerns you, explore alternative transportation means and expense them back to the Group.
- Support for Managers and Leaders: Emphasis on regularly checking in with team members, particularly those from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities, to ensure their safety and wellbeing.

Regular Monitoring and Communication
LBG is continuously monitoring the situation and is prepared to take further actions if needed, including closing branches or offices on the basis of police guidance or other intelligence. The safety of colleagues and customers remains the top priority, and updates will be communicated through local Business Incident Co-ordinator teams as necessary.
