Future workplace - the closure of Bournemouth Holdenhurst Road

Lloyds Banking Group has announced its plans to close the Bournemouth Holdenhurst Road site and for colleagues to use the new Branch Community Office in Poole from early 2023.

There are no role reductions or organisational changes due to this announcement.

The business says the decision to close the site is because Bournemouth has been under used for a number of years. There is excess space above the Poole High Street branch so they want to take the opportunity to pilot a new type of work space as part of the Group Location Strategy.

Colleagues will be able to use the new Branch Community Office in Poole from early 2023. The offices will be flexible bookable spaces, which will be open plan, spacious and separate to the branch space.

For now, there’s no immediate change. Colleagues can continue to use the Holdenhurst Road office as the business continues to make plans for new hybrid ways of working.

You may find this unsettling news and have questions about what this means for you. Keep an eye on the Bournemouth Yammer Community which will be regularly updated and is a great way to get questions answered by the business.
