11 October 2017: And still they go – 325 more jobs lost at Lloyds Banking Group
Lloyds Banking Group announced today that it plans to cut another 325 jobs across 5 business divisions whilst creating 160 new roles.
Accord’s General Secretary, Ged Nichols, said:
“Accord’s first priority is to support members who are affected by the announcement. We’ll do everything we can to avoid them being made redundant against their wishes and we’re contacting every one of them today to offer our support.
“The job losses in Lloyds Banking Group, and in the industry more generally, are not over because of technological and cost pressures. LBG, through working closely with Accord and Unite, has a good track record of handling these situations decently. All of its staff want a forward going commitment to the same high standards to provide reassurance and security in this uncertain environment.”
