11 April 2018: Conference countdown – one week to go…
With one week to go until conference kicks off, preparations are in full swing for what promises to be a hugely exciting event.
Around 250 people will be attending Accord’s 2018 biennial delegate conference at the Marriott Hotel in Leeds between 18 – 20 April.
The theme for this year is the future of work and the impact of technology on jobs. The conference strapline is: ‘Holding your hand into the future’.
Speakers including the TUC’s Deputy General Secretary, Paul Nowak, and Lloyds Banking Group’s Jen Tippin are amongst those that will be addressing delegates during the three-day event.
The agenda has now been finalised and is available to view here.
In total, 100 motions will be debated by delegates from across the UK. Those carried will help shape Accord’s policies for the next two years.
For the first time ever, Accord will be launching a conference app which includes interactive features such as photo sharing, a live comment feed and all the key information. All those attending will be able to download the app before conference begins.
If you’re not attending, don’t worry, members will be updated with news during the course of the conference.
